It is common for the public to call every anus disease yeast. Since the issue is not fully known and patients do not care or are ashamed, they do not go to the doctor and treatment is delayed. Because they try to treat themselves with hearsay medicines or materials.
Yeastalis is normally an inflammatory disease of the anal area. It is a dermatitis. It is one of the most common anal diseases. The biggest complaint of patients is itching in the anus area. Itching can be a simple problem or it can be a symptom of a serious disease.
Anal dermatitis, generally called yeast, develops secondary to an important anal disease such as hemorrhoids, ingrown hairs, anal fissure, condyloma. However, the main reason for its formation is not paying attention to anal hygiene. A person's diet is also an important factor in its formation.
The most important factor in its formation is excessive anal cleaning. People obsessively do too much anal cleaning after going to the toilet and use soap and detergent during cleaning, which leads to the formation of dermatitis. As a result of these chemicals, the protective layer on the anus skin is destroyed. Deterioration of this layer also invites infections. The patient begins to itch.
Another reason for the formation of yeast is the person's eating habits. Especially spicy foods and the use of too many spices during cooking cause dermatitis. Also, some foods can cause allergies and anal itching in some people. Tomatoes and eggplants are especially blamed for this.
Apart from these, wetness of the anal area, not drying the anal area well after going to the toilet, not using toilet paper or wiping the anus with a wet cologne wipe are other causes of anal dermatitis. Tight clothing creates sweat in that area, prevents ventilation and causes itching. Anal dermatitis is most common in overweight people.
The most serious symptom in patients with yeast disease is anal itching. As the patient scratches this area, the integrity of the skin is disrupted, it loses its elasticity and begins to harden. As a result of the inflammation that occurs, discharge, contamination of underwear, and rarely bleeding may occur. Ultimately, it can lead to a condition called hydradenitis.
Diagnosis is generally easy. When examined in the knee-elbow position, it is seen that the skin around the anus is red, there are openings in the skin in some places, and the skin is rough. In highly suspicious cases, a biopsy may be taken.
In yeast infection treatment, the patient must first be informed. Patients who are obsessively fond of cleaning are asked to give up this habit. Spicy foods and foods that cause allergies are prohibited for the patient. It is recommended to dry the anal area very well after defecation. Obese patients are asked to diet. Patients are asked not to wear tight clothes, especially in the summer months.
Patients are given sitz baths in warm water for 10 minutes once a day. Then, the anal area is dried and various anti-itch ointments are recommended.
