Tattoo removal

The laser beam used in tattoo removal passes through the epidermis layer of the skin and is absorbed by the compounds that give the tattoo color in the dermis and subcutaneous tissue, allowing these substances to be broken down and eliminated by the immune system.

It is easier if the color of the tattoo is dark. While it can be removed, it becomes more difficult to remove in light colors. Although anesthesia is not required in most cases during tattoo removal sessions, local anesthesia may be beneficial when applying to sensitive people. There may be slight swelling and burn-like redness in the applied area. Swelling and crusting disappear within a week.

Application can be done in approximately 4-8 sessions. There should be 4-6 weeks between each session. .Earlier sessions are not beneficial. Various epithelializing creams should be used after the application. It is still recommended to use sunscreen between sessions against any risks.

Despite the normalization of the skin surface, the process of removing the dye triggered under the skin from the body continues. For this reason, it should be expected that as much of the removable substances as possible are removed from the body and the skin support tissue normalizes.

In laser tattoo removal, the second or further sessions are taken after 6-8 weeks at the earliest. Sometimes it may be desired to extend the interval further.

The number of sessions for laser removal of the tattoo is determined by the dye used, the technique applied, the amount of dye used and the type of laser used. The number of tattoo removal sessions is between 5-15 sessions.
