Instead, adults should create a space where they can be open and honest, according to the developmental characteristics of the young person. One should not only talk about the risks and negativities in the relationship, but also talk about how to have a safe relationship. He/she should share empowering and positive examples with them that will support them in creating healthy boundaries.
