Disabled people and physiotherapy

First of all, it is necessary to define disability well:
Disabled: Disabled: Due to the loss of physical, mental, spiritual, sensory and social abilities to various degrees, either congenitally or later for any reason, the person is unable to adapt to social life and meet his/her daily needs. There are 8.5 million disabled people in Turkey and the share of this figure in the population is approximately 12 percent. Disabled people, who make up 12 percent of Turkey's population, face great difficulties in every aspect of life. How aware are we of this number, which has reached significant levels, and do we show the necessary importance and sensitivity?
Although great strides have been made in special education and rehabilitation in our country, there are still huge obstacles to be overcome. The most important of these are the lack of trained quality personnel, special tools and equipment for the disabled, the lack of quality service understanding in the services provided and the support of families.

Disabled children receiving education in state institutions need physiotherapists. There are no physiotherapists working in any public schools. However, when a physiotherapist is appointed to these schools, individuals with physical disabilities will receive better quality service, their quality of life will increase and they will be able to adapt to society better. Besides these, the most hope-mongering is done through disabled people. For example; Families of physically disabled people can be told that they can make your child walk or heal in this amount of time. While physiotherapists should be responsible for the rehabilitation of physically disabled people, when we look at the people who peddle hope in this way, they have no training or authority. Families, please be careful about this. At least this can be done: Tell the people who are trying to make money by mongering hope in this way, "Let's pay when you run or improve" in return, let's see what happens, there will be no one-sided agreement. Another example is that in private rehabilitation centers, people who have no authority and deceive them by calling themselves "physiotherapists" are taking programs for the physically disabled, just to avoid losing students. Disabled individuals are left behind in the education and developments they receive. r. In fact, many injuries and unexpected effects may be encountered. In this regard, when the families of physically disabled individuals go to the rehabilitation center, they should see the diplomas of the people who take their children to the physical education program, so that they are not deceived. Let's protect the rights of disabled individuals together and support them.

Let's not forget that we do not know what will happen tomorrow, we too may become disabled tomorrow. Let's take care of our disabled people, let's think about what we can do more for them rather than looking at them with pity. This is the responsibility of all of us. Let's not forget that we are all disabled candidates.
