Effect of Stress on Infertility

Stress can be described as an event that a person perceives as dangerous

stress causes heartbeat and respiration to accelerate and blood pressure to rise. The palms become sweaty and cold and wet. In chronic stress, there is depression and disorders in the immune system and sleep patterns occur.

In some cases, stress can cause irregular ovulation by changing the hormone levels in women.

Again, some studies have shown that stress causes spasm in the tubes

and a decrease in sperm production in men.
