Definition of Orthorexia Nervosa

Orthorexia nervosa is an eating disorder called 'obsession with a healthy diet'. . The individual obsessively focuses on eating pure and healthy foods. For these individuals, what is important is not the taste of the food but its quality. In orthorexia, the person's goal is not to lose weight. These individuals do not feel overweight anyway. Their only goal is to eat healthy, have the best diet, and think excessively about it.

Orthorexia nervosa usually begins with the removal of a single food group from the diet, and over time, many food groups are also removed from the diet. This situation can lead to serious health problems and vitamin-mineral deficiencies.
