Orthodontics
Orthodontics; It is a specialty of dentistry that examines the relationships between teeth, dental arches, jaws and facial bones, taking into account age, growth and development status, determines normal values for these relationships, detects cases where there are deviations from normal and tries to correct these relationships or prevent the occurrence of anomalies.
Orthodontic treatments can be performed at any age, but age is very important in the treatment of some orthodontic problems. Particularly in individuals with problems in the relationship between the jaws, intervening during the growth and development period can prevent future surgical treatments. The first orthodontic examination is recommended when permanent teeth begin to emerge, that is, at the age of 6-7. Small interventions in the early period can eliminate the need for more comprehensive treatments in the future.
In adult individuals with problems such as lower jaw protrusion and retardation and upper jaw retardation, who have problems with the inter-jaw relations, both the orthodontist and the orthodontist, called orthognathic surgery, Treatments are carried out together with a jaw surgeon or a plastic surgeon.
Implant
Dental implants are the missing tooth in the mouth. or body-compatible titanium screws used to replace missing teeth in individuals with teeth.
In implant treatments, bone adequacy of the area to be treated is important. Bone sufficiency is determined after clinical and radiological examination. Implant applications are performed under local anesthesia and the patient does not feel any pain during the procedure.
If, as a result of the clinical and radiological evaluation, it is decided that there is no suitable bone for the implant, preliminary surgical procedures are performed to create new bone and the implant can be placed in these new bone areas. Waiting for another 3 months for the implant to fuse with the bone, then the prosthesis phase is started
Prosthodontic Treatment
Dental prostheses are sometimes produced individually and sometimes according to the need. They are artificial teeth applied to more than one or all teeth. Removable or fixed prostheses can be made according to the individual's needs.
Fixed prostheses are types of prostheses that cannot be removed by the patient, known as crowns or bridges. Ceramic materials are generally used in their construction. Metal-supported ceramic coatings and zirconium coatings are the most frequently preferred. Colors and shapes are designed uniquely for each individual.
Laminate veneer prostheses, on the other hand, are very thin leaf-like prostheses that are applied by making very small abrasions only on the front surfaces of the teeth. Since these dentures are made with minimal tooth wear and are thin and can transmit light, their appearance is very close to natural teeth.
Teeth Whitening
As a result of the whitening process, individuals can have much whiter teeth. However, it must be performed by dentists trained in this field, using devices and materials approved by the Ministry of Health.
Root Root Canal Treatment
Root root canal treatment is a treatment performed to save a tooth where the decay is very advanced and extends to the dental pulp or is severely damaged. In this treatment, the pulp containing the dental nerves is removed, the dental canals are cleaned, and these canals are refilled with canal filling materials. In this way, the aim is for the tooth to remain in the mouth for longer periods of time.
