Things to Consider in Daily Care

This wish of ours is very true, because neglected skin may become more difficult to care for in later ages. Daily care appropriate to skin type and age is important for us not to be late for our skin in the future. So which type of product should we use? Are the creams we apply to our skin suitable for our skin type? Can it cause any skin problems?

Dry skin: It is a skin type with a very low moisture content and a dull appearance. If dryness is not taken into consideration and appropriate moisturizers are not used, this skin type is more affected by the sun and wind and wrinkles may occur at an earlier age and to a greater extent. In addition, the pores on dry skin are small and closed.

What should people with dry skin pay attention to in skin care?

Moisturizing creams with intense content and oil that will moisturize the skin sufficiently, moisturize the skin. Masks, creams around the eyes and creams suitable for the neck area should be used daily. Especially in winter months, our skin tends to dry out even more as the humidity in the air decreases. Moisturizers with light oil content can be used in summer, and moisturizers with dense and higher oil content can be used in winter and autumn. In addition, the humidity rate is lower in areas far from the seaside, dryness of the skin may increase and extra moisture may be needed. Of course, especially on sunny days, especially in summer, sunscreens suitable for dry skin should not be neglected. Moisturizers and make-up products containing sunscreen can also be preferred. However, those who have blemish problems, those who have a skin disease that may lead to skin cancer or a skin disease triggered by the sun should use a separate sunscreen recommended by their dermatologist.

As you get older, moisturizing creams containing skin rejuvenating substances such as hyaluronic acid, Day and night serums and creams can be added. People with dry skin should avoid harsh cleansers and drying soaps and cleansing gels. Milk-type cleansers that do not dry the skin and soaps containing glycerin or olive oil should be preferred. Cleansing gel or soap suitable for the face, make-up removers, alcohol tonic, cleansing-firming and masks that reduce the prominence of pores, and peeling creams should be preferred to reduce this appearance. Since oily moisturizers can increase acne and blackheads in daily use, very light oil-free moisturizers should be preferred after cleansing the skin. Of course, they should choose make-up products, especially powder, foundation and blush, that are oil-free and do not cause comedones. They should choose separate creams suitable for the eye area and the neck area. They should not neglect sunscreens suitable for oily skin. Oily skin tends to loosen and sag with age, and firming, rejuvenating care products and day and night serums can be added in later ages.

People with intense acne and blackheads should use medical treatments under the supervision of a dermatologist. In addition to medical treatment, they should prefer daily care products with the recommendation of their dermatologist.

People whose skin is oily but dehydrated and who have sensitivity, redness and flaking problems can also use desensitizing creams, oil-balancing masks or creams that can reduce the appearance of redness, under the supervision of a dermatologist. They should use milk-type cleansers and make-up removers suitable for sensitive skin. For daily use, they should prefer very light, oil-free moisturizers.

Combination skin:  The eye area and cheeks are normal or dry, while the forehead, nose and chin, which we call the T zone, appear oily. In the oily parts, the pores are open, acne and black spots can be seen.

What should people with combination skin pay attention to in skin care?

For daily use, use gel or gel that suits the skin's needs. Milk type cleansers, make-up removers also moisturize according to the skin's needs. Moisturizers, creams suitable for the eye area and neck area should be used. If necessary, appropriate types of peeling creams, moisturizing firming and oil balancing masks, and tonics with low alcohol content should be used. The T zone should be especially cleaned and if tonic is to be used, it should only be used on these areas. Cheeks should be moisturized more intensely, the T-zone should be moisturized less. In summer, in humid weather, oily areas may become more oily and acne may occur. During the winter months, the cheeks become very dry and there may be redness and tension. Depending on the season, more moisturizers should be used on the cheeks in winter and autumn. Drying products should be preferred for the oily T zone. Those with acne problems should use medical treatments with the advice of a dermatologist. Again, as you get older, rejuvenating care products and day and night serums suitable for combination skin can be added. Sunscreens suitable for combination skin should not be neglected, especially in summer.

People who are red, itchy, have hypersensitivity on their skin, and have prominent capillaries should use skin care products under the supervision of a dermatologist, as they may have skin diseases such as eczema and rosacea.

Let's not forget that there is no perfect skin, but it is in our hands to take care of our skin with the appropriate products, and proper care makes the skin appearance as beautiful as possible.
