WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF QUINOA?
Quinoa is the most consumed food after wheat and rice and is the most needed food by the body. Since it is a grain containing all amino acids, it is consumed quite frequently among vegetarians. Thus, vegetarians can obtain the proteins they need by consuming quinoa.
Quinoa is suitable for consumption by celiac patients as it does not contain gluten. Recipes of meals prepared with quinoa grain are also widely available for celiac patients. Since 100 grams of quinoa contains approximately 120 kcal, it is mentioned many times in diet recipes. The reason for this is that it contains a lot of fiber and also helps control appetite. Compared to other grains, quinoa has twice as much nutritional fiber. Thus, it helps the digestive system and prevents constipation.
And most importantly, it is said to be good for diabetes and provides blood sugar control. It is a grain rich in iron, potassium and calcium. It is also seen that it is good for anemia thanks to the high amount of iron it contains.
As quinoa began to become widespread, its recipes began to take their place in cookbooks. It even has special recipes for those on diet. And according to what is written in the recipes, after cooking Quinoa due to the high amount of water it contains, its calories decrease and if you eat it by cooking it, you will be supporting your diet.
