Half of the people you communicate with in your social life remember you with your smile. The key to a smile is the beauty of your teeth, which makes you more memorable.
Of course, no one wants to have crooked and crooked teeth, but it is obvious that many of us have congenital dental problems. Although protective, preventive or growth-directing treatments at a young age offer more permanent solutions, not consulting a dentist at an early age creates a need for treatment at an adult age.
If transparent aligners are to be used, the most important factor to consider when using these aligners is to consult with your doctor. your cooperation. Your compliance with the treatment process will accelerate the treatment. Cleanliness is again our first rule. If cleanliness is not taken into consideration during the treatment process, discoloration, cavities and bad breath may occur in the teeth.
How does the process progress when you decide to start treatment?
First, measurements and photographs are taken from the applicant for diagnosis and planning. With this data, an analysis is made and the treatment is planned. Teeth and jaw sizes are measured and how much you will move the teeth is calculated. Depending on this, it is calculated how long it will take to complete the treatment if the person uses the plates for the ideal time.
Two methods can be used in transparent plate applications. Either a system that includes three monthly plaques (soft-medium-hard) or a system that progresses with two weekly hard plaques. The physician who treats you will decide the appropriate method. But one of the important points to consider during the treatment process is how many hours a day these plates are used. Ideally, no matter which method is used, it should be used for 20-22 hours. This means removing the aligners only while eating. Only water can be consumed while the aligners are in the mouth.
After moving the teeth to the desired point, a reinforcement process begins. This is achieved either with thin wires passing through the inside of the teeth, with transparent plaques, or by using both methods together. A consolidation period is needed at least as long as the treatment period, because even if the teeth appear to be straightened, the teeth want to return to their previous positions when the force applied to the teeth disappears. The reinforcement process is at least as important as the treatment period to keep the teeth in their new positions.
As in every treatment, with transparent plaques Treatment also has its limits and is shaped individually. If the teeth are resistant to movement, a treatment can be planned with traditional braces or aesthetic restorations.
