What is hypertension? Who gets it?

Hypertension, that is, high blood pressure, is high blood pressure. Under normal conditions, a person's blood pressure is below 120 over 80. But scientifically, when blood pressure rises above 140 to 80, we call it hypertension. Hypertension is 95 percent essential, that is, blood pressure of unknown cause. The important factor here is the person's weight and salt intake. The more overweight a person is, the higher the likelihood of hypertension. Therefore, diet and exercise are of great importance in people with hypertension. When these people lose weight and become active, their blood pressure may return to normal. Less than 15 percent may occur as secondary hypertension, that is, hypertension due to secondary causes or other diseases. When we look at these as treatments, if the cause that causes hypertension is corrected, hypertension will be resolved on its own.
