We are going through a summer that is harsher than what we know as summer heat. Of course, our body also gets its share from the high humidity, the rapid increase in concretion, and the serious disruption of the balance of nature. The issue I have been insistently focusing on since the beginning of the summer days is: water consumption. My starting question, which everyone who comes to my practice knows, is this:
- HOW MUCH WATER DO WE DRINK A DAY.
This question is not just a question I ask in the first meeting. It's a question I repeat at every meeting and at the beginning of every treatment. I now call it 'Cüneyt Çelik Classic'.
I even ask the same question to my patients who call me during the day with minor problems.
- ' 'DID YOUR WATER CONSUMPTION DECREASE DURING THIS PERIOD?''
The reason why I insist on this issue is this:
- WATER IS OURS A RESOURCE THAT IS NOT INCLUDED IN CONSCIOUS CONSUMPTION IN OUR LIVES.
Unfortunately, our society is very unconscious on this issue.
The amount of fluid taken into the body by drinking tea and coffee, the amount of water that should be drunk.
This is a big mistake.
Either we don't drink any water or WE CONSUME MUCH MORE WATER THAN WE NEED.
Believe me, it's good for the body. There is no difference between the two behaviors.
Approximately 75% of the human body consists of water and 25% consists of solid matter. The brain also consists of 85% water, so it is extremely sensitive to dehydration or decreased water content. It can only function in salty cerebrospinal fluid. One of the inevitable processes in the body's water distribution system is the brutality of the mechanisms that control body functions. No organ can receive more than its predetermined share of water, depending on its functional importance. The brain takes precedence over all other systems.
I think even such a short information is enough to embrace water with 4 hands.
Please BE CAREFUL ABOUT YOUR WATER CONSUMPTION.
