Adequate and balanced nutrition: to protect and improve our health and increase our quality of life; By taking in the nutrients our body needs, in the right amount, at the right time and in the right ways; is to enable our body to use them. Our ongoing disease together with unconscious food consumption; Even though we do everything, there are still situations that we cannot fix, or we feel very healthy, but from time to time, we experience some discomfort, as we call it. Could the biggest reason for this be NOT Adequate and Balanced NUTRITION? Today, we will have 3 topics on which I will briefly share information with you. Foods that create an allergenic effect on the body due to the effect of the sun in summer, summer diarrhea in children, food-drug interactions.
Especially in summer months, foods that create a psoragenic effect and cause a photoallergic condition; The most important foods we should pay attention to are parsley, figs, legumes, oilseeds (nuts), and peaches (skin), which we consume too much. Excessive consumption of these (amounts vary depending on the person) causes the onset of skin diseases. Carrots, which contain beta carotene, which helps the skin protect itself naturally, should be consumed in certain amounts every day during the summer months, depending on the person's health condition. Summer diarrhea we observe in children; Antidiarrheal syrups and antibiotics should not be given to a child with diarrhea unless recommended by the doctor. Vegetable dishes, vegetable juices, vegetable soups and lentil soup should not be given to the child during this period. Consumption of fruits such as melon, watermelon, grapes, pears and strawberries should not exceed a certain amount and, if necessary, they should not be consumed during this period. Consuming prepackaged food should also be prevented, especially during this period. Blood thinners that start to be used at older ages; In case of excessive consumption of dark green leafy vegetables, which we increase our consumption in the summer months, the vitamin K (potassium) found in vegetables reduces the diluting effect and increases the risk of blood clotting. It is of great importance for people who use blood thinners to pay attention to their consumption of dark green leafy vegetables. People who consume tetracycline group antibiotics should be careful: Ca (calcium) in milk and its products reduces the absorption of this antibiotic group. It is burning ; For this reason, if people who use these antibiotics make sure that there is a 1-2 hour difference between the consumption of Ca-containing food and the use of antibiotics; The time it takes to respond to your doctor's treatment will be shorter and healthier.
Every season has its own foods that will fight diseases when the time comes and ensure that our body meets its needs in the most appropriate way. Therefore, consuming seasonal fruits and vegetables in the right amount, at the right time and in the right ways will always protect us better from diseases.
Have many healthy days :)
