Op stated that the recent increase in wrong diet practices, a diet rich in cholesterol and salt, sudden head movements and stress negatively affect the balance center in the ear. Dr. Haktan Ergin Bagis noted that patients who experience dizziness, especially when consumed with salt-rich foods, increase the inner ear pressure, come to the clinics.
He emphasized that the organ called the cochlea in the ear is the balance center of the ear, and that these patients experience nausea, vomiting, and recurrent dizziness. He pointed out that he presented himself with complaints of falling to the ground and hearing loss.
Stating that a full ENT examination and hearing test were applied to these people, also called Menier's disease, Bagis continued in his written statement as follows: Because every dizziness attack is in Menier's disease. It causes some hearing loss. There are also ear stones in the snail. Patients complain of dizziness as a result of these stones moving out of place. Patients reduce their quality of life by moving these balance stones from their places with sudden movements. However, the balance nerves in the ear run anatomically side by side with the facial nerves. Any event that affects the balance nerves can also affect the facial nerves and cause half-facial paralysis. For this reason, patients with dizziness complain of difficulty in moving one side of their face and numbness in their lips in the future. "
IT IS OCCURRED MORE IN SUMMER
Stating that vertigo is more common in summer months, Bagis stated that recently, patients in the 40-50 age group have been applying to clinics mostly. Patients in this age group are generally neglected. Bagis, who stated that the result has come and therefore the treatment has become difficult, said, "We first recommend our patients to change their living standards, quit smoking, stay away from dusty, damp, cold and indoor environments suitable for infection, avoid sudden movements, and eat a diet low in salt and protein. Our patients who have a dizziness attack should lie still in a quiet, dark or dim light when they feel dizzy. Our patients should lie in bed with their eyes closed and rest for 3 to 6 hours if necessary. My patients who come with dizziness "They should also undergo an eye examination at least once a year," he said.
