What is voice deepening?
For some cases within the concept of voice aesthetics, voice deepening is extremely effective and beneficial in terms of social communication and perception in society. Voice deepening applications are generally reserved for men.
In this context, the most common patient group we encounter is puberphonia cases in which the necessary change in the direction of deepening of the voice is not observed during adolescence. Our voices during childhood normally deepen with the transition to adolescence. However, sometimes this required thickening does not occur and the sound remains thin. This situation can naturally lead to misunderstanding of the individual within the society and social isolation. It is possible to achieve an effective and permanent thickening of the voice with some surgical interventions for this patient group, where satisfactory results can be obtained with voice therapy studies.
Tiny voice is also a problem for a group of patients who have structural defects in their vocal cords or whose voice begins to sound hoarse as a complication as a result of some previous surgeries on their vocal cords. Voice deepening surgeries are very satisfactory in such cases.
Having a thin voice can cause some problems in business life, especially in terms of authority and effectiveness. This issue becomes even more important in professional groups where social communication is at a high level, in managers, and in professions where authority is at the forefront. In such cases, deepening the voice is extremely important and it is possible to get very effective results with some simple surgical interventions.
