Returning Home After Vacation

I hope everyone had a nice summer holiday. We all spent the summer in different ways. But if there is one thing in common, it is the fact that summer vacation is like a cure for us after a long and tiring year. Sea, open air, sun, beach, good summer meals, family visits, trips to places we have postponed and wanted to go for a long time renew us and rest and recharge us before returning to our waiting, fast-paced life. But vacation is never enough. We always want more. Just like the theater lights turning on after the movie ends, we suddenly have to return to our normal lives. When we return, we find ourselves having difficulty adapting to the culture, geography, weather change and rhythm of life we lived in before. So, why does a relatively short period of time away from the flow of normal life cause so much trouble on return? We even begin to think about whether it is worth going away for a holiday that will cause us so much trouble when we return, and we may even regret going. But it is a fact that we have to get used to it and adapt to our normal life as soon as possible. I have some suggestions to help you get through this adaptation process more easily.

To Overcome Post-Holiday Depression:

1- Plan your next vacation. The thing that actually upsets you the most when you return home is that you no longer have a holiday plan that will motivate you and that you will have to wait for. To solve this, thinking about where you want to go on your next holiday and making plans accordingly will put you in a more hopeful waiting period. 2-Set goals that you will achieve in your life when you return. Goals such as making an innovation in your job, joining the gym and living a healthier life, quitting smoking, making a list of the books you want to read, and taking up new hobbies will help you adapt to your life more quickly.
3-Regularize your sleep. Hectic and hot summer evenings disrupt your sleep patterns. Those traveling abroad may have difficulty adjusting to local time. The sooner you get your sleep back on track, the easier it will be for you to get used to it.
4-Regain your eating and drinking habits. like sleep Our eating and drinking habits also change during vacation. We eat more or less on holiday. We may consume too much alcohol and similar high-calorie and even unhealthy foods and beverages. In addition, the different cuisines of the regions we visit may negatively affect our intestinal flora. Considering all this, returning to our old healthy eating habits as soon as possible will bring us back to our senses more quickly. Another suggestion I have about this is that if you tried a food or drink you liked while on holiday, make it at home and try it. This will satisfy your holiday longing to some extent.
5-    Turn your holiday memories into meditation. How Does? Bring to mind the beautiful memories you had during your holiday during stressful and troubled times. Imagine yourself on holiday in a place where you feel most peaceful and good. In this way, you can get away from the stressful pace of the day and make good use of your holiday memories.
6-    We go to many places during vacation. Sometimes the places we go have more negative conditions than the places we live. The information we acquire there, the way people live, reminds us of how positive the conditions we live in are, and when we return home, we better understand the value of the place we live in in the light of this positive information.
7-    Transfer your active and energetic nature during the holiday to your normal life when you return. You felt the positive effects of being active on your mood while on vacation. So why not keep it up when you get back? Socialize more, call your friends, plan activities with them, go to museums, catch up with life where it left off, and continue living your life more energetically and more motivated with the renewal of the holiday.
