Diet and Human ..

Hello;

In this article, I wanted to write about the subject of "diet and weight loss". There is a lot of theoretical information, application methods and gossip about diet and weight loss both in the media, social media and among people. Nowadays, no one except nutritionists knows exactly what to do about this issue, and everyone wants to try the diets or methods they have heard about on themselves and get results. But not everyone remembers that the basis of these trials is that the dietary prescription must be individual. In this article, I will talk about diet and the diet process and try to write about the difficulties people encounter while dieting and the failures people frequently encounter.

The “diet process” is usually a process that begins when a person feels uncomfortable by gaining weight simultaneously and with the feedback he receives from his surroundings. is the process. At the beginning of this process, the person starts the diet hoping for great success. However, over time, thanks to the various troubles he encounters, his lack of self-control, and the cognitive mistakes he makes, the process becomes a difficult, exhausting and long process that significantly affects the person's psychology. From the first minute a person enters this process, he hangs a huge sign saying "I'm on a diet" and starts to act accordingly. This sign is actually the largest defense mechanism that a person will develop.

At this stage, the person takes an attitude that underestimates the power of food. His resistance regarding the eating process is very high. In short, he starts his diet by taking all precautions from head to toe. In the first months, the person goes through a really good process. It ensures eating order. If he/she has the opportunity to do sports, he/she does sports. Significant changes begin to be seen in his body. However, as the amount of food he eats decreases over time, he begins to not be happy with this situation, especially since the amount of weight lost very quickly in the first months of the diet reaches a minimum level after two or three months. At times, a person may even be unable to give at all. In the face of this situation, the person begins to experience failure in his/her own way and begins to not be happy with this situation. shush. Despite everything he does, he cannot lose weight. Then what's the point of dieting? As can be seen here, the person has started to lose his/her internal motivation and cannot regain it. The person's psychology begins to collapse due to the loss of this internal motivation and the effect of feedback that does not come from his environment as he wishes. At the same time, the person started to become more angry and aggressive because he did not eat. This situation becomes such that the person begins to question himself and have negative thoughts about himself. By nature, we need to end this internal conflict and be happy. In this case, the primitive human inside the person steps in and starts to pressure the person to eat by making him think that the urge to eat makes him happy. After this period, the person begins to eat to be happy, and eventually the person abandons the diet he started with great hope and returns to his normal life. After quitting the diet, the person returns to his/her old life and begins to eat more and higher-calorie food by increasing the severity of his/her old eating habits. Thanks to this idea of freedom, over time the person forgets that he is on a diet and continues to live this way. But on the other hand, his life goes on. As the person continues his life, he does not pay attention to his weight, his health begins to deteriorate, and he receives bad feedback from those around him. But since the person is happy, he/she keeps negative thoughts about his weight away from himself by activating defense mechanisms such as being at peace with it and being content with his situation. Until a situation affects him... For example; When the person enters the stores to shop and buy the products he likes, he shows the product he likes to the sales representative and takes the size he wants from the customer representative until it is not the size he wants in the dressing room... Such mini events bring the person to the brink of diet again, this time the person is more determined and experienced. He will not make the mistakes he made in his previous attempt, nor will he surrender early. But it gets into our vicious circle again, and this vicious circle continues.

The inside of this. What can you do? If you are a dieter, you must definitely submit yourself to a dietitian. Your dietitian will adjust the diet suitable for you and you will first need to organize your food, including your meal plan. The role of the dietician is very important here. The dietician should be easily accessible and should answer your questions in a way you can understand. You should visit your dietician frequently. Because every tiny step you take (weight loss) is necessary for you to see and motivate yourself. In addition, asking your questions to an expert will be your guide to reach your goal easily. You need to keep your personal motivation at a high level. You quit the diet because your personal motivation has decreased. The person who is on a diet is very ambitious and determined at first. However, over time, this determination decreases and this situation occurs approximately 3-4 months after starting the diet. At this point, if the person goes on a diet, he or she becomes unable to lose weight or progress. In order to overcome this situation, you should stick to the diet prescription with determination and continue in the process without stopping. After a while, this cycle will be broken and the person will continue to lose weight from where he left off.

While dieting, you need to see the feedback you get from your environment and the efforts of the people around you who value you. . Diet is a difficult process. Especially for people who love food and have a well-developed palate, it is difficult to change their eating habits. In this case, since you need to change your eating style and stay away from your old eating habits, your friends and especially your family should be careful not to discourage you in this regard, in short, you should get support from all sides.

If you are stuck in all these above-mentioned situations, if you want to do it but cannot succeed, you should also get psychological support. It would be appropriate to get support from an expert psychologist, especially with cognitive behavioral treatments. Remember, you have a lifetime to spend with your body, you should take good care of it.

With love…
