With my experience as a general surgeon, I can say that obesity is more dangerous than many diseases in the world.
I believe in the importance of providing accurate information to my patients who choose to lose weight through a surgical procedure.
Losing weight is often a matter of time. Patients enjoy being thinner as if they were removing a new body, and this feeling motivates them to say "ok" to the surgery. However, it may not be possible for the skin that has expanded due to excess weight to sag and recover adequately during the weight loss process.
Of course, these are results that can be corrected both with sports and surgical intervention. As long as the right doctor, the right team and the right process are followed.
