STAM CELL
PRP and Stem Cell Treatment are not the same thing!
The clotting cells used in PRP cannot turn into cartilage cells, cannot turn into liver cells, and cannot even reproduce themselves. The importance of coagulation cells is that they contain more than 500 cell-growing hormones and factors. While clotting cells do not secrete these hormones under normal conditions, in case of damage to the tissue, they secrete them into the environment and contribute to the healing process, but they cannot transform into other cells and cannot fulfill their functions.
However, stem cells can both replicate themselves and turn into different tissue cells. They can transform into very special cells such as cartilage, heart, kidney, liver, nerve, eye, retina and brain cells. It has the ability to repair and renew every tissue and organ in the body.
There are 2 Types of Stem Cells Used in Medicine...
1-Stem cells, which we call pluripotent, are cells that can transform into all tissue types except the fetus. They are rarely used in practice.
2-So-called multipotent stem cells can transform into a wide range of tissue types, although not as much as pluripotent cells. Mesenchymal stem cells are in this class and are the stem cells used in treatment.
Mesenchymal stem cells are often stored around vessels in organs and tissues. They are dormant in the tissue and react by waking up in the presence of injury, but their numbers are very small and they may not provide adequate repair. In addition, stem cells stored in tissues anywhere in the body do not turn into cell types in another region of the body when needed.
For example, blood stem cells in the bone marrow do not turn into brain cells. Therefore, they must be processed in the laboratory for suitable diseases. In this sense, mesenchymal stem cells derived from bone marrow and adipose tissue are used. They are collected from bone marrow or subcutaneous fat tissue using what we call minimally invasive methods. Even a small amount of sample may be sufficient. The risk of infection is minimal, there is no cell rejection because they are the patient's own cells, so it is a safe procedure.
EYLID AESTHETICS (Blepharoplasty)
Eyelid surgery or blepharoplasty, which is applied to the lower and upper eyelids, sagging skin and excess These are surgical procedures performed by an ophthalmologist for the removal of muscle tissue, removal of hernias of fat pads and tightening of the tissues around the eyes.
With advancing age and the effect of gravity, exposure to sunlight, air pollution, irregular sleep, excessive Factors such as smoking and alcohol use accelerate the aging process of the skin. The skin normally has an elastic structure. But as you get older, its elasticity decreases. With the loss of elasticity in the facial skin, excess skin first accumulates on the eyelids. The first signs of aging appear on the eyelids. Age-related changes in the eyelids cause the person to look tired, dull and older than they are. Some of the signs of aging seen in the lower and upper eyelids may include bags and color changes under the eyes, drooping upper eyelids, wrinkles and sagging of the eyelid skin, crow's feet lines at the edges of the eyes, and a tired facial expression.
Eye. The loose skin on the eyelids causes upper eyelid droop. This decrease can sometimes be so great that it prevents vision. It is essential that this condition be treated. Sometimes drooping eyebrows and forehead also accompany drooping eyelids. In this case, an aesthetically worse appearance may occur.
For those who want to undergo blepharoplasty surgery for aesthetic or functional reasons, eyelid aesthetics can be performed only on the upper eyelid or lower eyelid, or both can be applied together, depending on the need. Eyelid aesthetics are mostly performed by individuals over the age of 35. Because signs of aging on the eyelids often begin to appear after this age. However, it is possible for anyone with a medical need to have it done at any age. Surgery cannot stop ongoing aging of the eyelids; but it remains effective for up to 7-8 years. After the surgery, the person's tired facial expression is replaced by a lively and serene appearance.
Before
Due to the risk of increasing bleeding tendency during the surgery, the use of drugs such as aspirin and antibiotics should be stopped at least 15 days before the procedure. Because it delays wound healing The use of cigarettes and other tobacco products should also be stopped 2-3 weeks ago. Herbal supplements should not be taken during this period as they may cause unexpected effects.
Aftermath
After eyelid aesthetic surgery, protective tapes are placed on the eyelids that will not affect your vision. The reason for this is the integrity of the stitches and their protection from external factors. It should not be forgotten that slight bruising and slight edema will occur after the procedure. One of the most important factors in overcoming this situation in the mildest way is the application of cold compresses. It should be known that with ice treatment after eyelid surgery, edema and bruises will disappear in a short time, such as 3-4 days. To prevent possible edema, it is recommended to sleep in a position where the head remains elevated, with a few pillows under the head. Using the recommended bruise removal cream will help you get rid of bruises in a shorter time. During the first 3-4 days of healing, one should avoid going out as much as possible. Make-up should not be applied for the first 10 days. After the second week, light make-up can be applied. There may be slight leakage from the wound, the slight pain that will occur is controlled with oral medications and a calm recovery process can be experienced. . Being able to rest is the golden rule of this process. Edema and bruises disappear from the third day after eyelid surgery, and the stitches are removed on the fifth day. If the physician deems it necessary, he can apply a new tape. In those who have had eyelid surgery, after the tapes are removed, the parts under the tape may be yellowish in color and a slight swelling may be observed.
Make as much effort as possible during the 1.5 month period after the day of eye aesthetics. Sports, direct exposure to sunlight, solarium, sauna or steam bath should be strictly avoided.
A very thin pinkish mark can be seen above and below the eyelashes, whether on the lower eyelid or the upper eyelid. It should not be forgotten that this scar will pass over time, and one should not fear that it will never go away.
