BOTOX APPLICATIONS

 

WHAT IS BOTOX?

It is a protein secreted by a bacterium called Clostridium botulinum.
This substance blocks the electrical conduction from the nerves to the muscles, causing the muscle in the applied area
It temporarily reduces or eliminates the /> function. When the muscle loses its function and cannot contract, the wrinkles on the skin over it decrease or disappear. Botulinum toxin is not snake venom as many people think. It is made by diluting it in very small doses. Therefore
it has no negative effects on our health. There are 2 botulinum toxins used in our country: Dysport (IPSEN), Botox (ALLERGAN).

WHERE IS BOTOX APPLIED?
 Lines between the eyebrows
 Forehead lines.
 Lines called crow's feet around the eyes
 Lifting the tip of the nose,
 Vertical lines on the upper and lower lips (cigarette lines)
 Lifting the corners of the lips,
 It is used to make the skin on the chin smoother.  It is applied to the treatment of horizontal lines and vertical bands on the neck.

HOW IS IT APPLIED?

It is applied intramuscularly at certain points with very fine-tipped insulin syringes. .
Application time is 10-15 minutes.

 

WHEN DOES THE EFFECT START?

The effects begin approximately 2 days after the application, on the 15th day. The real net
effect occurs. The duration of effect is generally 4-6 months.

WHAT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED BEFORE APPLICATION?
 Whether the person has a muscle disease or not
 Whether or not they use blood thinners
 Pregnancy. and breastfeeding status should be questioned.

BOTOX IN THE TREATMENT OF HYPERHIDROSIS (SWEATING)

It is frequently used in armpit, hand and foot sweating. here It is applied under the skin, not intramuscularly. It prevents sweat production by temporarily blocking the functioning of the nerves reaching the sweat glands. Post-application effects begin within 1-2 days and last up to 6-8 months

THINGS TO BE CONSIDERED AFTER APPLICATION?
 After application, facial muscles should be exercised for a few hours, that is, mimic movements.

 Drugs such as painkillers (anti-inflammatory), muscle relaxants,
antidepressants and alcohol should not be taken for the first 24 hours after the application. You should not sleep face down or face down. Otherwise, the drug

 Make-up should not be applied for 4-5 hours after the application.
 Application areas should not be touched or massaged for 6-8 hours after the application.
