Hello.
What should be the nutrition after Rhinoplasty Surgery?
What should I eat? or,
What Should I Not Eat? What should I avoid?
Nose Aesthetics; both science and art..Meticulously, at all stages (pre-operative, intra-operative, post-operative); While performing the art of rhinoplasty, patients should be evaluated well, especially after surgery, and necessary reminders should be made, paying attention to nutrition.
Answers to your questions about nutrition
Below. You will find it in my article (The information may vary depending on the general condition of the patient, it is general information written in the light of my personal experiences). 10 days before the surgery, you should eat better than ever, healthy (also rich in protein). After the surgery, do not skip this protein-rich diet rich in fruits and vegetables.
-When you come to your room after the rhinoplasty surgery (under General Anesthesia), the lips, throat and inside of the mouth are a little dry. Your companion can wet your dry lips with gauze or cotton soaked in water. Half an hour after arriving in your room, if you are fully awake, you can take a sip of water. If you wish, you can start listening to music with headphones, I recommend it.
After Rhinoplasty Surgery, it is normal to have a dry throat for 2-3 days. If excessive, medication may also be given. Silicone derivative (silastic) materials used inside the nose (although comfortable, until they are removed after approximately 2-3 days) will cause temporary mild intranasal congestion and throat dryness. Drinking plenty of fluids will be very useful.
-After about 1 hour, you can have soup, yoghurt, water, compote, fruit juice.
Returning Home p>
-4-5 hours later, when you return home; A very light dinner that is very easy to digest (soup, salad, mashed potatoes, vegetable dish, etc.)
-Eating is free for the next week, but have a healthy diet based on vegetables, fruits and protein. Not difficult to chew (may affect bandage), not too hot (risk of bleeding), not too spicy (risk of sneezing), not too salty (percentage (increased risk of swelling) foods..
You should drink plenty of water. You should drink at least 6-7 glasses (glasses) of water a day. For 2 weeks; You should not consume excessive amounts of tea, coffee or drink alcohol.
I wish you healthy and happy days.
