DENTAL COATING

Dental crown veneers are the placement of specially applied aesthetic materials made of porcelain on the teeth. The veneer must be placed on the tooth to be veneered and it must be cut and reduced by at least 1 mm in order to avoid any difference in size with other teeth. The purpose of dental crowns is to protect the tooth, give it an aesthetic and beautiful appearance, and increase its functionality.
In which cases are crown crowns applied?

– In cases where there is not enough dental support in the area, fillings are restored.
– Veneers can be applied to strengthen weak teeth
– They form the upper part of dental implants
– They can be used on teeth that are broken, yellowed, decayed and cause aesthetic concerns.

Crown Veneer Materials

The materials used in dental veneers vary in quality. These differences are reflected in the price of the processing performed and determine the porcelain veneer prices. You and your doctor will jointly decide on the coating material to be applied to your teeth. The most commonly used materials in dentistry today are metal-supported and completely porcelain crowns. The difference between these two porcelain veneers is that, in aesthetic terms, full porcelain veneers are more aesthetic than metal-supported ones.
How long does it take to complete dental veneers?

Dental porcelain veneers are completed after 2 or 3 sessions. The time-consuming stages of porcelain veneers are carried out in a laboratory environment. The time you spend in the dentist's chair is very short. The necessary measurements for your tooth will be taken, your tooth will be cut to fit the prosthesis by 1 mm, and the measurements will be sent to the laboratory and your dental prosthesis will be prepared in this environment. In the second session, the procedure will be completed by applying your dental prosthesis. Dentists whose dental laboratory and dental clinic are not located in the same environment may extend the session by 1 more session as a result of errors that may be made in dental prosthesis measurements.

How are dental veneers maintained?

You should be careful not to break hard objects with the dental veneered parts. You should also be careful not to do this with your real teeth. Especially hazelnuts, walnut shells etc. You should not try to break it with your teeth. In addition, you should clean your teeth at least twice a day, along with other teeth, and perform daily care of your teeth with dental floss and mouthwash. You can prolong the life of your veneers by showing the condition of your veneers to the dentist during the 3 and 6-month dentist check-ups.
