Psychodynamic Psychotherapy

This type of therapy is based on psychodynamic theory. According to this theory, the patient's problems and symptoms are related to unconscious
processes and disease symptoms have symbolic meaning. For example, the main thing that a patient with obsessive-compulsive disorder
who washes his hands very frequently wants to clear -unconsciously- is a conflict related to his spiritual life.

According to this theory, the observed "here and now" The main effective reasons for problems are past childhood experiences and traumas.

While this theory deals with human psychology and problems, the person's relationships with his/her parents, core (main) conflicts, psychological defense mechanisms, personality. It discusses in detail the structure, ego (ego) functions, superego (super
ego) organization, and the characteristics of the individual's relationships with close people who have existed so far in his/her life (object relations).

Under the main heading of psychodynamic psychotherapy, there are many sub-types of psychotherapy
with the basic perspective being the same.

Brief immediate dynamic psychotherapy, long-term individual psychotherapy, explanatory psychotherapy, supportive
psychotherapy. like. Psychodynamic psychotherapy is mainly used effectively in the psychotherapy of neurotic cases (depressive disorder, anxiety
disorders, some personality disorders).
