Baby Bath

Your newborn baby usually cries during the first few baths, which is quite normal. After a while, your baby starts to love bath time.

Do not bathe your baby when he is hungry or right after feeding. Preferring bath time in the evening will be beneficial for your sleep pattern.

Just before the bath, prepare hot water between 36-37 ºC and put some of it in the baby bathtub. You can use special bath thermometers to check the temperature of the water.

Carefully place the baby in the bathtub filled with water. Put one hand around his back and support his head with your arm, and with your other hand, support your baby's bottom until you put him in the water.

After putting him in the water, you can wash your baby with the help of a soft cleaning cloth-sponge.

Wash the baby's face and eyes with cotton using boiled and cooled water. Use each piece of cotton once and wipe his eyes from the inside to the outside.

Rinse your baby and pat him dry with a soft bath towel.

Finally, massage your baby with baby oil and dress him.

Bath Tips:

Babies rely on their sense of smell and touch. Spend quality time cuddling and caressing and make your baby feel safe.

For newborn babies, it is best to use only small amounts of bath products in the first weeks, or just water and cotton can be used.

Bath time is also a perfect activity for fathers to spend time with your baby. Bath time is also helpful for having a good bed routine as your baby grows.

Never leave your baby or toddler alone in the bath - even for a few seconds.

Your Baby's Skin Care:

Changing your baby's diaper or massaging him is perfect for both you and your partner to bond with your baby. It relaxes both you and your baby and instills a sense of confidence in your baby.
