Health Effects of High Fat and Low Carbohydrate Diets

In our previous article, we said that the GI value of meat, that is, foods containing high protein, is 0.

Now let's talk about this.

Let's take a look at foods containing high fat. Vegetable and animal fats are foods that are 98% fat. There are also margarines; I don't count them as food…

There are also foods that contain hidden fat. They also contain high amounts of protein. Meats (chicken, fish, veal, mutton, seafood meat offal, etc.), eggs, milk, yogurt, cheese, sausage, sausage, astma, etc. such foods.

If we examine the content of such a diet;

1. The primary need of the body is energy. It likes to get energy from carbohydrate foods (vegetables, bread (grains), legumes and fruits). If enough carbohydrate food is not taken, it meets its energy needs from every food it finds. Even from body fats… But when proteins are used for energy, proteins cannot be used for their main function, which is production and repair. Thousands of cells die in the body every day, and new ones are made instead. Although a lot of protein is taken, it is as if no protein has been taken since all the protein taken is used for energy. In the immune system, malfunctions begin to occur in the production of new cells. At the same time, it quickly washes body fat tissues for energy needs. Due to this destruction, blood acidity increases. No matter what diet, this happens in rapid weight loss. The task of restoring blood acidity is the kidneys. Sometimes this acidity is so great that it exceeds the capacity of the kidneys. When the kidneys are not strong enough, acid-rooted ions remain in the blood. This is a very dangerous situation. It gets better when you drink plenty of water and eat enough starchy foods.

2. In some studies, it has been found that high consumption of saturated (solid) fats found in animal products increases the risk of insulin resistance and Type 2 (senile diabetes).

3. In a study conducted with more than 40,000 participants and published in the American journal of clinical nutrition, it was found that a low-carbohydrate diet that recommends high animal protein (animal food) and fat consumption is directly linked to the risk of Type 2 diabetes (diabetes) in men.

4 . Both high protein and low GI carbohydrates Diets consisting of drat foods have been shown to cause greater body fat loss than high-carbohydrate diets.

5. A study published in 2012 showed that low carbohydrate and high protein consumption was associated with a significant increase in the rate of cardiovascular disease.

6. Diets rich in fat may be harmful for people with advanced coronary artery disease or gout.

7. While carbohydrate intake is restricted, fiber intake is also reduced. Insufficient fiber intake can cause constipation. It may increase the risk of diverticulum (a type of bowel disease) and certain types of cancer.

8. High protein diets have also been linked to a higher risk of kidney stones and may also be linked to calcium loss, which over time can lead to osteoporosis (in short, loss of bone tissue).

9. Because some nutrients are not taken, it may cause nutritional deficiency.

10. The American Heart Association opposes any diet plan that reduces consumption of fruit and vegetable varieties that encourage high-fat consumption. (On the grounds that it increases the risk of heart stroke and cancer...)

Next week, I will talk about how a slimming diet should be prepared with the principles of adequate and balanced nutrition and adequate and balanced nutrition, in the light of the information so far.
