Diagnosis of Inguinal and Umbilical Hernias

WHAT IS HERNIA? : Hernia is the displacement of an organ or tissue from one place to another. It can happen in many places. For example, the displacement of the disc in the waist towards the spinal canal is called herniated disc disease. Inguinal and umbilical hernias are herniations that occur in the abdominal area. They occur when intra-abdominal tissue or organs protrude from a weak place in the abdominal wall.

Hernias manifest themselves as swellings that go into the abdomen with pushing. However, they cause many complaints in the patient.

These are some of the complaints.

Hernias rarely carry the risk of strangulation, in which case urgent surgery may be required. >

KNOWN AS UMBILICAL INSURANCE, IT IS DIFFICULT TO DIAGNOSE BECAUSE IT CANNOT BE SEEN FROM THE OUTSIDE,

THEY CAN BE TREATED WITH MINOR SURGICAL INTERMEDIATION.

THERNIA TREATMENT

CLOSED SURGERY (LAPAROSCOPIC HERNIA REPAIR). ): There are two types, those that pass through the abdominal membrane and those that do not. I do not recommend this surgery, because first of all, anesthesia is required for these surgeries. Secondly, in order to enter the abdomen, the abdomen is pierced in various places with at least 3 tools, the total length of the holes is 35-40 mm. and there is a risk of hernia in these holes.

OPEN SURGERY: Open surgeries have patched and patchless techniques.
