How strange it is to be human. Literature, medicine, psychology, philosophy, sociology and many branches of art always seek, examine, wonder and discover people. The word "discovery" may evoke "fait accompli", but one does not end with research.
So many scientists, researchers and thinkers obtain various results and provide us with information about ourselves. So, based on this, can we ask this? Can a person know himself fully? Is self-discovery possible? It does not seem possible to answer yes to these questions, dear readers.
A human being is a being that is alien to himself throughout his life, but is mostly unaware of it. Every time I think about this, I cannot help but think about why a person who cannot fully know "himself" tries to fully understand "others" throughout his life.
- Isn't it a complete illusion to think that we know and understand? Both ourselves and others...
Due to my profession, I have the chance to witness life events that upset, make unhappy, wear out, destroy, shake, question, frighten and worry many people. Therefore, I listen with surprise and interest to the fact that there are creatures with completely different perspectives. I am writing the article you are reading right now on the seaside. When I saw the sea and my favorite music was playing in the background, I felt like writing the article for this issue. Who knows what would happen to you when you are on the seaside?
With this view in front of me, maybe the content of the article will not be very relevant, but the first part of Nazım Hikmet's poem "About Living" came to my mind. I would like to share it with you.
Living is no laughing matter,
you will live with great seriousness, like a squirrel, for example,
that is, without expecting anything outside and beyond living, so your whole job will be to live.
br /> You will take living seriously, that is, to such an extent that, for example, you will be able to die for people with your arms tied behind your back, your back against the wall, or in a laboratory with your big glasses and white shirt, for people whose faces you have not even seen, and without anyone forcing you to do so. , even though you know that the most beautiful and real thing is to live. I mean, you're going to take living so seriously that even when you're seventy, for example, You will plant olives, not because you want to leave it to your children or anything like that, but because you are afraid of dying but you don't believe in it, and living is outweighed.
How beautifully said the poet. Writing feels good to me too, it makes me feel good to be able to chat with you and maybe be a tool for questioning a little bit. Writing is a way I recommend to my clients. Reading, writing and drawing have a therapeutic effect on the complexity, chaos and ambiguity of the human mind. They are important tools for people to discover themselves. In the interviews I attend, especially in my meetings with young people, I always try to talk about the importance of the journey to ourselves. Recently, a young friend of ours came to me after the seminar and said, 'How will we do this, Sir?' said. I presented to him the methods I mentioned in the article. I also mentioned that we need to leave our 'comfortable, safe spaces'. Finally, let me touch on that. We all create safe spaces for ourselves in our daily lives. We do as similar or the same things as possible. Whenever we get out of this routine, there is the opportunity for discovery and learning. Every difference reveals a different side of us, and sometimes it reveals to us that the things we accept as right are perhaps wrong.
When you consider your life, you will observe that whenever you encounter differences, you experience something in an educational way. Especially if you made a mistake, don't take the pleasure of it. There are definitely conclusions and lessons learned.
I hope everyone can make tolerable mistakes and disrupt their daily routine.
Have a pleasant life...
