Today's guest is asparagus, one of the oldest foods in human history. Asparagus, which used to grow only in Western Asia, Europe and North Africa, now grows almost everywhere. Asparagus; Like leeks, garlic and onions, it is a member of the Lily family and has more than 300 varieties. It contains minerals such as magnesium, phosphorus, selenium, zinc, sodium, iron, copper, calcium and manganese and vitamins such as A, C, B6, vitamin K, thiamine and niacin.

Health Benefits of Asparagus :

It is a heart-friendly food thanks to its folic acid content.

It is a food rich in potassium and poor in sodium. Thanks to its asparagine content, it is like an effective diuretic drug. For this reason, it is used in periods when the body has edema, such as before menstruation. It also contributes to the improvement of conditions such as tension and fatigue. That's why it is used in the treatment of depression.

Asparagus, which is rich in plant minerals, contains inulin. Inulin is the nutritional source of intestinal bacteria that are beneficial to health. Therefore, inulin, taken into the body by consuming asparagus, contributes positively to the intestinal flora by increasing the number of beneficial bacteria in the intestinal flora.

Ingredients:
10 pieces of asparagus
5 cloves of garlic
Juice of 1 lemon
4 tablespoons of olive oil
100 g light cheddar cheese
Black pepper, salt

Preparation:
Mix 1 lemon juice, 4 tablespoons of olive oil and 5 crushed cloves of garlic and turn it into a sauce. Place the asparagus on a baking tray lined with baking paper and pour the sauce over it. After adding salt and pepper, cook at 180 degrees for 30 minutes. After cooking, add light cheddar cheese and keep it in the oven until it melts. That's it!
