Vaginismus is a common sexual dysfunction in women around the world. It is the name given to the inability to have sexual intercourse as a result of involuntary contraction of the muscles at the entrance of the vagina, or the condition of having painful sexual intercourse is called vaginismus. they cannot have intercourse, even if they do, it is possible to have painful intercourse.

WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF VAGINISMUS?
Premier (primary) is the inability of a woman to have sexual intercourse due to a vaginal muscle spasm known as vaginismus. Premier Vaginismus occurs during the first sexual intercourse and sometimes during the gynecological examination, and the woman cannot have a successful sexual intercourse in any way. This is the most common type of vaginismus and the most important reason is fear.
This condition, known as secondary (secondary) vaginismus, is a condition where women experience sexuality before. The child may experience a difficult birth, abortion, a traumatic event (rape, abuse), some medical problems or menopause.
WHAT IS VAGINISMUS TREATMENT?
As vaginismus can have many causes, both physical and psychological causes should be focused on for the treatment of the person. As a result of the evaluations made by the specialist physician, it should be determined whether the disease is physical or psychological and the path should be followed accordingly.
The psychological side of vaginismus treatment should be done by experts who have received sexual therapy training.
