There are only 3 main meals and no snacks in Metabolic Balance. In fact, it is forbidden to eat anything in between! Because eating 3 meals a day is the healthiest, easiest to implement and sustainable diet. Even in a medium-intensity work schedule, it is not possible to eat something every 2 hours, but even in the most intense professions, it is possible to eat 3 meals. Almost everywhere in the world, there is a lunch break dedicated to eating and resting. What does this provide? A basic information that we can remember even from high school biology classes: the digestion time for fats and proteins is on average 4-5 hours. Our stomach only takes this long to complete the digestion cycle of the food we consume and become ready for the next meal. Every bite taken in the meantime disrupts this order. It causes the food in our stomach to wait for what comes later.
On the other hand, due to some physiological (oral-colic, gastro-colic) reflexes that our body has, the intestinal content in the lower parts of the digestive tract accelerates the gastrointestinal passage before completing the digestive cycles. It causes the food consumed to leave the digestive tract prematurely before it is sufficiently absorbed. That's why eating little and often is not a healthy diet, it's a way of eating too much and not eating! We can liken this to unhealthy irrigation by watering rapidly from the bottom of the plants through frequent watering without taking into account the water intake capacity of the plant roots, instead of opening pools at the bottom of the plants and giving them as much water as they need without overflowing and taking a break until the bottom of the plant dries.
METABOLIC BALANCE ELIMINATES INSULIN RESISTANCE
There is another important point to consider in this program: When you eat less than 3 meals, your metabolic rate slows down and balance cannot be achieved. It also becomes difficult to balance blood sugar and insulin levels.
