Nosebleeds are often annoying. But sometimes it is frightening
and life threatening. Experts divide nosebleeds into two
groups.
- Anterior nosebleeds are bleeding from the front of the nose.
- Bleeding from the nostril of a person standing or sitting
- Back bleeding: Bleeding from the back of the nose. Bleeding
is towards the nose. Bleeding even when sitting or standing
is towards the throat. When the patient is lying on his back, even if there is anterior bleeding
, bleeding may occur in both directions. Recognition of bleeding is very important. - The type of bleeding from the back of the nose requires the follow-up of a specialist
. - The type of bleeding from the back of the nose is mostly seen in elderly people.
- This patient group is usually
people with high blood pressure (hypertension) or people who have experienced trauma. - Nose bleeding is usually pre-bleeding type in the pediatric age group.
- Dry air or crusting in the winter months causes bleeding.;
To prevent this, it will be useful to apply a moisturizing cream to the middle part of the nose with the tip of your finger. It is recommended to use three times a day. However, it is sufficient to apply before going to bed at night. If nosebleeds are recurring frequently, it may be advisable to see a specialist.
STOPPING PRE-BLEEDING
If you or your child has an anterior nosebleed, you can:
Take the soft part at the tip of the nose between your thumb and the other two fingers.
Press the nose against your face with a finger pinch.
Hold for five minutes. (Keep a watch.)
Make sure to keep your head higher than your heart. Therefore
it is recommended to sit or lie with your head higher.
Apply ice to your nose and cheeks. (By filling a plastic bag with ice

TO PREVENT REBLEEDING AFTER THE BLEEDING STOPPED
Be careful not to blow your nose.
Do not lift anything heavy from the ground or do similar compelling movements
.
Always try to keep your head higher than your chest.
Cleanse all clots in the nose by blowing your nose.
Spray both nostrils with decongestant nasal spray 3, 4 times.

tighten by pressing on the nose as in step 3. If your bleeding is towards the back of the throat rather than in front of the nose
