Epistaxis (Nose Bleeds)

Nosebleeds are often annoying. But sometimes it is frightening
and life threatening. Experts divide nosebleeds into two
groups.

To prevent this, it will be useful to apply a moisturizing cream to the middle part of the nose with the tip of your finger. It is recommended to use three times a day. However, it is sufficient to apply before going to bed at night. If nosebleeds are recurring frequently, it may be advisable to see a specialist.

STOPPING PRE-BLEEDING

If you or your child has an anterior nosebleed, you can:
Take the soft part at the tip of the nose between your thumb and the other two fingers.
Press the nose against your face with a finger pinch.
Hold for five minutes. (Keep a watch.)

Make sure to keep your head higher than your heart. Therefore
it is recommended to sit or lie with your head higher.
Apply ice to your nose and cheeks. (By filling a plastic bag with ice
. )

TO PREVENT REBLEEDING AFTER THE BLEEDING STOPPED

Be careful not to blow your nose.
Do not lift anything heavy from the ground or do similar compelling movements
.
Always try to keep your head higher than your chest.

IF BLEEDING AGAIN

Cleanse all clots in the nose by blowing your nose.
Spray both nostrils with decongestant nasal spray 3, 4 times.
and
tighten by pressing on the nose as in step 3. If your bleeding is towards the back of the throat rather than in front of the nose
, you may be advised to see a specialist.
