Again, since the nasal casts used in the past were not porous, they caused more sweating and itching in hot weather. Nowadays, we use microporous plastic nasal casts, so our patients no longer experience such problems. In addition, since air conditioning systems have become widespread in living spaces today, our patients do not actually come into direct contact with hot air.
Exposure to Excessive Sunlight
Exposure to excessive sunlight is not a good thing. , especially during the recovery period from rhinoplasty surgery. Sun rays hitting the skin perpendicularly can cause a tattoo effect on the skin, causing the bruises that may occur after surgery to become permanent. However, it is possible to easily prevent these negativities with a wide-brimmed hat and high factor sunscreen. In addition, thanks to the hat, there is no need for sunglasses, which are unsafe to use before 1 month.
Swimming
You can easily swim in the sea 15 days after the surgery. In fact, sea water helps rapid healing of edema in the nose with its washing effect. If you are not sure about the cleanliness of the pool, it would be better not to swim in the pool for about 1 month. However, I recommend that you take the following warnings into consideration while swimming:
Do not jump into the water: A blow to the nose during the recovery period may cause deformities in the nose.
Do not dive deeply: High underwater pressure may cause bleeding in the nose.
Do not use swimming goggles: Just like with sunglasses, during the boiling period of the nasal bones, external effects may occur. additional extra pressure may cause deformities.
