How Can We Get Rid of Our Anxiety?
We can't get rid of it!
Or rather, we shouldn't get rid of it!
Because anxiety is not something that needs to be gotten rid of, it is joy and joy. It is an emotion that should be felt, such as sadness, regret, disappointment or jealousy. It is perhaps even more important than others because it has the power to keep us alive. How Does? Let's think about it, let's say a state-of-the-art product was invented (not possible) and it took away our sense of anxiety. What do you think will happen?
- We may get run over by a car by not looking left or right while crossing the street.
- By not holding our child's hand while walking on the road, we may cause harm to our child
- Our car or We may be inviting thieves by not locking the door of our house.
- We may cause a fire by not unplugging the iron.
Examples can be multiplied, and the feeling that protects us from all similar dangers is the feeling of "anxiety". We worry and take precautions to prevent anything from happening to us. The precautions we take ensure that we or our loved ones survive. Additionally, anxiety increases our motivation. It keeps us on alert to prepare for the exams we need to study for and the projects we need to finish.
What I'm saying is that we should recognize our anxiety, love it, and not avoid feeling it. Let's try not to get rid of it, but to thank it for keeping us alive and increasing our motivation.
Note: Anxiety disorders are serious mental health problems and support must be sought, there is a solution when support is received. The anxiety mentioned here is healthy anxiety that has not reached the level of disorder.
