Anal abscess is inflammation around the anal canal. Although it is more common in men than women, it is seen in both sexes. It can be thought that it is common in men due to the difference between occupational groups.
Knowing the anatomy of the anal canal and the surrounding tissue will help us to understand the subject.
Here, especially the sweat and sebaceous glands around the anal canal and the mucosal anal glands (numbers 4-4) that secrete mucus to the anal mucosa. 8) must be known. The sweat and sebaceous glands around the anal canal open to the superficial skin in the anal area. The mucous glands of the anal canal are what we call crypts into the anal canal. It opens into mucosal recesses. The main formation mechanisms of anal abscesses are due to the obstruction of the ducts of these glands. Sometimes anal abscesses may develop after soft tissue inflammation, albeit very little.
.Sitting for a long time
.Poor hygiene
. Diet (diet that is oily and makes stool hard)
.Insufficient fluid consumption (daily consumption of less than 3 liters of water for adults)
. A crack in the anus
These glands can cause duct obstruction.
The mucus they produce in these clogged channels becomes suitable for infection in that area as a result of the accumulation of sweat and oil. Abscess formation occurs in infected areas. There is increased pain during bowel movements and with movement.
TREATMENT
APSE DRAINAGE AND ANTIBIOTIC TREATMENT
An important note: EVERY APSE DOES NOT MAKE FISTULA HOW 40-50% SI TURNS INTO FISTULA. THESE ARE CONSIDERED TO BE DUE TO THE ABSSES OCCUPIED FROM MUZAL GLANDS IN THE ANAL CANAL. IT IS NOT CLEAR WHICH APSE CAUSES FROM THESE GLANDS. AFTER APSE TREATMENT, WE MUST CONTACT YOUR DOCTOR. IF THERE IS A FISTULA, IT TURNS INTO RECURRENT abscesses.
