The operation takes approximately 2 hours. In prominent ear aesthetics, stitches are placed between the base of the ear and the skull and the angle of the ear is narrowed. Sutures are also used to create the folds on the upper part of the ear. In some patients, while the angle of the auricle is corrected, the angle of the earlobe is not. Since this will not create a pleasant appearance, the angle is adjusted with an incision made behind the earlobe. After prominent ear surgery, if surgery was performed under local anesthesia, the person is discharged on the same day. In surgeries performed under general anesthesia, it is recommended that the person stay under surveillance for one day.
It is possible to take a shower on the 3rd day after the operation. Desk workers can rest for a day after the operation and do their daily work. It is recommended for those who work in heavier jobs to rest for up to 3 days. For children, it would be correct to choose a rest period in which the child feels comfortable.
