Time

“Time flies after the age of 35, I didn't realize when the children grew up and finished school,” said my friend, who is 10 years older than me. When these words were spoken, I was 34 years old and was in a busy rush due to my job as chief physician. I would leave the house before my kindergarten student woke up in the morning and come home hours after he fell asleep. Unfortunately, that period did not remain in my memory enough, and as of today, I missed the chance to remember that age period of my son.

We are at the extreme when it comes to using time, which is one of our most important assets.

We are racing against time in the years when we are productive and our working lives are active. We cannot live without working hours, appointments, and alarms. Our biological clock (the signals coming from our body) is not a determinant, but the time intervals imposed on us decide when we will eat, when we will sleep, have fun, socialize... Since we cannot control the use of time, we live many life events without realizing it and spend the best period of our lives.

In the "adolescence" period of our lives, we act as if the concept of "numbered time" does not exist and We misuse our time. Just as we cannot understand the meaning of wasted time, we want to "grow up and become a man as soon as possible."

As we approach the last moments, we smile bitterly in the face of time and say "life is empty, it came and went." The work we do, the watch on our wrist, and the grades we take no longer have any value. Sometimes we rebel against this end of time, and sometimes we accept it and feel sad, saying "this time is not passing, oh those old days."

No matter what phase we are in, let's use our time wisely in each one and avoid the extremes. Let's avoid using it. Let's be the boss of our time so that we can be held accountable when the accounting is done tomorrow.
