Disc Herniation Pain

It refers to all the pains in the lumbar region that may occur after many factors such as deterioration in lumbar biomechanics, traumas, muscle imbalances, adverse and sudden movements, long-term repetitive loads, and traffic accidents.
All pains in the lumbar region should not be considered as a herniated disc. .

** 80% OF THE WHOLE WORLD'S POPULATION HAS EXPERIENCED BACK PAIN AT ANY PERIOD OF THEIR LIFE. (Diagnosis and treatment of low back pain, Emel ÖZCAN, 2002)

Actually, low back pain is caused by many mechanisms:
•Disc injury,
•Disc degeneration,
•Muscle disorders,
•Trigger points,
•Sacroiliac joint disorders,
•Facet joint problems, disc slippage,
•Psychogenic factors.

Some of these factors.

These are some of the factors.

*We should always think of the body as a whole.

For this reason, a problem in the waist or another part of the body can also affect other areas.
For example: a person with the beginning of a herniated disc should move to a position where there is no pain. When you walk by bringing your body and bending your waist and repeating this position constantly, the load on other joints of the body will increase.
However, pain will occur in other parts of the body, especially in the sacroiliac joint and hip area. Pain occurs in the waist and radiating to the leg in the bending position and in the position of lifting the straight leg on the back in advanced hernia problems. On the contrary, in cases of sacroiliac joint or facet joint problems, pain is felt in the waist area in the backward bending position.

Especially in the waist. After hernia pain, the body takes a self-protection position and tries to prevent further injury to that area, so the muscles in that area work overtime and become stiff. This is the body's protection mechanism.
