What is gastroscopy? When is Gastroscopy Applied?

It is a diagnostic method used to directly see the inside of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum. With the gastroscopy procedure, a tissue sample (biopsy) can be taken with a thin wire sent through the gastroscope, the polyp can be removed (polypectomy), and the bleeding areas can be intervened (sclerotherapy, heat probe).
