Let's Get to Know the Muscular System in Humans

We complain about many muscle groups in our daily lives, but do we know the muscles and muscle groups that are the cause of our complaints? Let's get to know the muscles that may cause our complaints.

It would not be possible for us to live without our muscles and muscle groups. As can be understood, muscles are parts of a vitally important system and are as important for our muscle health as our other organs.

The primary duty of our muscles is to keep the skeletal system standing. Muscles are also important for the functioning of our heart and organs.

There are three types of muscle tissue. Let's explain these;

  • Skeletal Muscle: Skeletal muscles enable the body to move. There are over 600 skeletal muscles in our body. They account for 40% of the total weight of this muscle group work. When the nervous system signals a muscle to contract, muscle groups work together to move the skeleton. These signals and movements are almost involuntary, but they require conscious effort. People do not need to concentrate on individual muscles while moving.

  • Heart muscle: The heart muscle is an involuntary muscle that works on its own. These muscles form the walls of the heart and create the steady, rhythmic beat that pumps blood throughout the body from signals from the brain. This type of muscle also creates the electrical impulse that produces contractions of the heart, but hormones and stimuli from the nervous system can also alter these effects, such as when your heart rate increases when you are afraid.

  • Smooth muscles: Smooth muscles. It forms the outer walls of the so-called hollow organs, respiratory tract and blood vessels. Its wavy movements help movements such as food conduction in the stomach and urine output from the bladder. Smooth muscles are involuntary muscles. However, it narrows in response to stimuli and nerve impulses.

  • Muscle movements occur when neurological signals create electrical interaction in muscle cells. During this electrical conduction, calcium is released into the cells and produces a brief muscle twitch. Problems with the connection between cells can lead to neuromuscular diseases.

    Although it is a simple situation such as muscle pain, overuse and strain, many problems can occur. It is a common problem that can indicate Let's look at some muscle disorders and conditions that affect muscles; Bruising, cramps may indicate Myopathy, Muscular Dystrophy, Parkinson's, Fibromyolgia, Multiple Sclerosis conditions.

    Regular nutrition and exercise are important for muscle health.
