TO INCREASE IRON ABSORPTION
Foods with high iron content, such as red meat, seafood, turkey, and legumes
should be consumed frequently.
To increase iron absorption, meals contain vitamin C such as orange or tomato juice, strawberries,
broccoli, grapes, and peppers. Foods with a high content of iron should be consumed.
Tea, coffee, soy products, milk and dairy products should be consumed 1-2 hours before or after meals, as they reduce iron absorption.
Iron supplements should be taken with light snacks to avoid reducing absorption. It should not be taken with large
meals.
