Acne and Acne Scars...

Acne is a disease of the sebaceous glands located within the skin; normally, the oil secreted by these glands is removed from the skin surface. However, during adolescence, due to a hormonal effect, the sebaceous gland secretes a more concentrated oil, and the channel that allows passage to the surface is blocked due to this concentrated fat mass. This blockage is the main cause of acne. When the uppermost part of the fat mass encounters oxygen, black spots (comedones) form. No matter how much we clean our skin, there are many bacteria. These bacteria enter the clogged ducts of the sebaceous glands and cause inflammation in the clogged sebaceous gland, and this phase is called the active acne phase.

In daily skin care, the face should be treated with a cleansing agent (soap or gel) twice a day and warm acne. should be washed with water. Milk-style cleansers should not be preferred as cleansers because they have an oily base. People with acne or oily skin should prefer soap or gel products with a pH of 5.5 as cleansers. Acne is not caused by pollution. Washing too frequently can exacerbate acne.

Acne is not caused by food. Restrictive diets won't fix your skin. For many years, chocolate and fatty foods have been blamed as acne causes. However, no scientific evidence has been found. Since acne improves or worsens on its own, it is important not to make mistakes about foods. Some medications used for treatment (such as cortisone) can cause or increase acne.

Acne can be treated effectively, but the treatment progresses slowly. Improvements in acne treatment begin in the 2nd month and a complete improvement is achieved within 4-8 months. Acne and its scars are the most common skin problem. The aim of acne treatment is to eliminate acne lesions and prevent the formation of new ones. Treatments are selected based on the patient's skin response. Microdermabrasion, medium and deep peelings, laser rejuvenation (skin rejuvenation) treatments provide significant improvement in properly selected cases.
