Focus on Scale

The scale may not always give the correct result. For example, after sports or after traveling or if you have survived an illness, the numbers on the scale may be high during and after the illness due to the medications you use. In some diseases, antibiotic, antihistamine or cortisol treatment can be applied. The numbers on the scale may be high for a while during and after these treatments. The reason for this is not that you have gained weight, but that the body has edema. During periods of intense exercise, the numbers on the scale are high. Because the muscles are active and water is collected. This is a temporary situation. Edema can constantly increase and decrease in the body and does not mean weight gain. That's why the scale may not always give the right result.

The most common mistake when dieting is constantly weighing. From time to time, the scale may not show the correct numbers because the body holds edema. You lose motivation because of wrong numbers. The situation we observe in clients is the thought that I pay so much attention, I need to get results, I have to get results immediately. With this thought, they start a diet and are weighed constantly in the hope that the weight will go away and they look at the numbers on the scale and think that it will not happen. So they leave the diet. They get angry with lists, scales and themselves, start to eat a lot again and gain weight. So the same vicious cycle continues. However, the reason for all these is the wrong weighing time or the wrong result on the scale. That's why we should focus on how much we follow the diet, how much improvement and thinning we feel in ourselves, the way the clothes that used to be tight are on us, and how well we feel. how sustainable it is, weight loss should be the biggest focus of the issue. We should know that we did not suddenly gain weight and diet lists are magic wands, scales are not magicians.
