House dust has become a serious health threat that we have difficulty removing from our lives, but sometimes we are not even aware of its existence because we cannot see it with the naked eye. Mites living in house dust cause allergic reactions in children with their body particles and fecal waste. Children with sensitive airways after this exposure often develop school infections; They have attacks triggered by cigarette smoke or a chemical substance. Reducing house dust in the home of a child with allergies will significantly reduce disease complaints.
Removing carpets should be the first step. The second step is to put special covers on the child's bed that do not pass house dust up from the bed. In addition to all these, providing the child with a smoke-free environment and removing chemicals from his/her life as much as possible will be the first step in achieving asthma control without medication. It is also necessary to keep very few items in the child's room and not use downy or woolen clothes, covers, bed pillows. The humidity of the house should be kept between 45-50 degrees, live flowers and molting animals should not be kept in the house. No food other than water should be given after 20 in the evening. Carbonated drinks, fruity or fruitless sodas, fries, chocolate and Foods that require long gastric emptying, such as ketchup, should be prohibited. Children with allergies or asthma should be vaccinated against influenza every year in September and October, and if possible, home-fermented kefir should be drunk 50-100 ml every day.
