PRP-CGF

PRP is derived from the English expression "Platelet Rich Plasma" and means 'platelet rich plasma'. PRP treatment is a natural and biological method used for the non-surgical treatment of joint, muscle and tendon problems. Apart from this, it has started to be used frequently in many areas, from skin regeneration and hair loss to fracture healing. In this method, the medicine is prepared from the patient's own blood. In other words, it is a natural treatment method.

Blood is taken from the patient intravenously into tubes containing anticoagulant medication specially prepared for this purpose. The blood taken is subjected to a special centrifuge process with a tube. After centrifugation, blood cells other than platelets settle at the bottom of the tube. A yellow plasma fluid rich in platelets remains on it. At the bottom of this upper liquid, there is a section of approximately 1-2 cc where platelets are more dense. Thanks to the special system, plasma containing approximately 1 million platelet cells in each cubic millimeter is drawn into the syringe where the injection will be applied. After this stage, it is applied to the desired area with the appropriate technique.

Thrombocyte is basically the element that enables blood clotting and contains growth factor and some natural protective substances. With the PRP method, platelet-rich plasma is obtained and platelets are activated with the added drug. Thus, the growth factors contained in platelets are released. Platelet-enriched plasma fluid acts like a natural medicine. It accelerates the healing in that area by stimulating the cells of structures such as tendon cartilage where injury and damage occur. PRP has been shown to have a healing effect on cartilage damage and wear, especially seen in knee arthritis.

Depending on the area to be treated, it is applied by injection in 1-3 ml, once or 2-3 times at certain intervals. In cases of knee arthritis, it is applied into the knee joint three times, one month apart. In cases such as tennis elbow, Achilles tendinitis, and shoulder tendon ruptures, 2 injections are generally administered one month apart.

The joint-tendon should not be strained for 48 hours after the injection. Under the influence of the powerful factors carried by platelets, a strong cell movement begins in the area and after the injection Sometimes pain may be felt for 1-3 days. For pain that persists in the days after the injection, using paracetamol tablets and applying ice frequently if necessary helps.

It begins gradually within a few weeks after the injection, and the healing process continues between 3 and 12 months.

PRP treatment is not a type of symptom suppression treatment, but a treatment aimed at directly treating the disease.
