Every woman and man may have different interests in sexuality and sexual activity. The prerequisite for a healthy and happy sexual life is a constant, close and warm relationship. Thus, it is possible for a person to get to know himself and the other person physically and spiritually, to accept him, to get closer to him at the highest level possible, to take pleasure and give pleasure at the same time. The frequency of sexual intercourse may vary from person to person, the frequency of intercourse may temporarily increase or decrease at different times in the same person. It is the need to satisfy the sexual drive that determines the frequency of sexual intercourse in the person. Although the frequency decreases with age, the strength of the source that generates sexual desire is the same, but the need to satisfy the source may change. Inconsistency in the frequency of sexual intercourse is an important source of sexual problems for the couple. The most comfortable way to agree is to focus on sharing feelings, thoughts and wishes.
Research results show that couples who have sex once a week already reach a certain level of happiness, while more sex does not significantly increase the level of happiness. Amy Muise, who conducted the research, is a sex and romance specialist at the University of Mississauga in Toronto. Muise emphasizes that it is important to maintain sexual bonds between couples, but when it comes to the frequency of sex, couples should live according to a certain "number" and not be under pressure.
Money brings more happiness or sex?
Muise conducted three studies to see if the happiest couples were also the ones who had the most sex. . The first study, which gathered information on more than 25,000 people over 23 years, suggested that more frequent sex increases happiness levels, but more than once a week doesn't make much of a difference.
Muise then conducted another study with participants from 335 different ethnicities. In this study, she compared the effect of sex on happiness with the effect of household income on happiness. The second study not only confirmed the results of the first study. He also showed that the difference between having sex once a month and having sex once a week is the difference between making $15,000-$25,000 a year versus $50,000-75,000. Much bigger than the difference in happiness between making a buck! In other words, the answer to the question of whether sex once a week will make you happier or 3 times the money you earn is in the bed, not in the wallet! He reiterated that once a week is important, but that once a week is important.
Does two make you happier than once a week?
In a 2015 study of 128 couples, The effect of sex frequency on happiness was tested experimentally. The researchers randomly divided the couples into two groups, all of whom had sex at least once a week, and told one group to double their frequency of having sex, and the other group to watch at their normal frequency. Couples who doubled in frequency did not report any more signs of happiness. They even said that the pleasure they get from sex has decreased.
While the general belief is that the more sex you have, the better, but recent research suggests otherwise. Couples who deal with busy jobs such as children and other responsibilities do not need to think that they do not have sexual intercourse "often enough" and experience stress and anxiety about it. Muise's findings show that having sex once a week without worrying about having more sex can be enough to maximize happiness!
