Measles, which caused 3 deaths in 2015, 13 in 2016 and a total of 35 in 2017, raises alarm in Europe. Deaths from a vaccine-preventable disease are a tragedy.
While the whole of Europe was cleared of measles, the fact that it started to occur again is an indication that the issue of vaccination is not taken seriously.
Our country became a measles-free country years ago. In our country, measles is still included in the vaccination program both alone and together with mumps and rubella, and vaccination is provided free of charge.
