Male Infertility

What is Infertility?

It is the absence of reproductive function. If pregnancy does not occur despite regular sexual intercourse without protection for a year, there is infertility. Infertility has nothing to do with sexual potency. A man with very strong sexual power may be infertile. On the contrary, a man who does not have much sexual power can have many children. If there is no pregnancy, the man and the woman need to be examined and treated at the same time and in parallel. Thus, loss of time is prevented. Infertility is 40% due to women, 40% due to men, 10% due to both, and 10% due to unknown reasons. Infertility is largely treatable. The important thing is to start urological examinations of the man and gynecological examinations of the woman without delay.

If these are lower than normal, it prevents children from being born. If there is inflammation in the urinary tract, antibiotic treatment is given. Hormonal disorders and excessive antibody production require drug treatment. If there is varicocele, surgery is performed using microsurgery. Get results from these treatments During prayer, drug treatment is applied to ensure healthy sperm production. If no results are obtained, assisted reproductive tests are used. These are examinations such as artificial insemination (vaccination), IVF (in vitro fertilization), ICSI (microinjection). If there is no sperm in the spermiogram, the Micro-TESE + ICSI (fertilization of the egg with the sperm found in the pieces taken from the testicles surgically) method is applied.
