Temperament Medical Examination

In order to understand traditional Seljuk-Ottoman medicine, it is necessary to know the Hippocratic Humoral Pathology Theory - Temperament Medicine approach, which explained the mechanism and treatment principles of diseases from Ancient Greece to the Renaissance, including the Islamic civilization, and maintained its dominance in medicine for approximately 2500 years.

According to this understanding, life consists of soil, which constitutes the solid parts of the body, water, which forms the liquid parts, air, which provides breathing, and spirit, which is the essence of life. It consists of the fire that creates it. Human beings, who are a part of the universe, are made up of these four elements.

Four basic body fluids with different compositions are formed from the elements.

Blood, Phlegm, Bile and Souda

Each of the fluids has dual properties like elements.

Bile: Hot and Dry to Fire,

Blood: Hot and Humid to Air,

Pphum: Cold and Moist to Water,

>

Souda: It corresponds to the Cold and Dry Soil.

These fluids are different in each organ, but they are balanced in certain proportions.

People have a special temperament due to the fact that the elements and fluids are mixed in different proportions.

Human temperament according to the excess of fluids in the body:

Warm-blooded: Demevi,

Calm, Lazy: Phlegmatic

Angry little creature: Safravi

Pessimistic: Soudavi.

Body fluids Proper and balanced combination creates health, improper combination or deterioration of quality creates disease. Diagnosis of the disease is made by determining which fluid in the body is increased.

Diagnosis of imbalance depends on investigating how to restore the disturbed balance between fluids. Since the nature of the disease is related to climate, season, geography and food, all these factors are taken into consideration when preparing precautions, treatment plans and medications.

V.M.T: FACE ANALYSIS

Visceral Manual Therapy

It is a method of diagnosing diseases by evaluating the reflection areas of internal organs on the skin and treating them with hand manipulations.

In this way, the functions of internal organs can be improved, and support can be provided in the treatment of many diseases, either alone or in addition to other treatments.

Visceral Manual Therapy and Manipulation was developed by Russian scientist Aleksandr Timofeyevich Ogulov and French osteopath Jean Pierre Barral.

EXAMINATION OF POSTURE DISORDERS:

Posturology helps us better understand various diseases such as scoliosis, femoropalar syndromes, fibromyalgias by correcting the mechanical factors in various diseases of the musculoskeletal system and spine. It allows us to treat patients instead of symptoms

It is a medical approach that exists in our medical traditions (Seljuk Physicians) and has also gained a place in modern medicine, allowing us to look at chronic problems holistically with various tests and examination techniques.

ELECTROPHYSIOLOGICAL TESTS

These are tests used to determine the physiological-functional state of the body

1-Modern Method: E.A.V: Vegatest-Electrotomography

2-Traditional Method: E.S.D:  Ryodoraku- Electro Segmental Diagnosis

VEGATEST:EAV

'According to modern medicine, signal transmission is necessary for an action to occur in the body.

Signals are transmitted from cell to cell as an electric current until they reach the target. This electric current is actually the exchange of + and – charges on the two surfaces of the cell membrane. This change occurs by exchanging Na+ and K+ ions to the other surface of the membrane. While the electric current is transmitted from cell to cell, it causes the release of specific proteins that carry out the action in the body according to their function and function in all organs.

This electric current has different wavelength and frequency in each tissue. It is also called "Action potential" in physiology. Action potential means the potential of an action/event that has not yet materialized.

ELECTROACUPUNCTURE TEST METHOD:

ESD: Electro Segmental Diagnosis

It is a scientific method that investigates the connection between the electrical potentials at the points of acupuncture meridians located on the skin surface and the functional states of internal organs. Acupuncture points on the skin through dermatomes-segments It is connected to the spinal cord and brain. When the measurement point is touched with the test probe while the palm electrode is in the patient's hand, a current not exceeding 200 microamps reaches the brain via the spinal cord via dermatomes-segments. The brain perceives the stimulus and the relevant ganglion gives a response to it, which affects the electrical resistance during measurement and provides information about the functional status of the acupuncture meridian and the relevant internal organ.
