Movable appliances:
These are appliances that can be removed by the patient and popularly called 'palate'. It can only be applied in simple cases.
Functional appliances:
These are growth-directing appliances that are used during the growth period and can be removed by the patient.
Fixed appliances:
Two types of brackets
are used in orthodontic treatment, popularly called 'braces'. One of these is metal brackets, and the second is made of tooth-colored porcelain or
plastic. These are not noticeable unless looked at very closely, and
thus prevent aesthetic discomfort that may occur during the treatment.
