Laparoscopy, also known as closed surgery among the public, is an alternative surgical method to open surgery that has been used in gynecology for the last 30 years. Day by day, almost all operations that can be performed with open surgery can now be performed laparoscopically. It is a surgery method performed with a camera placed through a 1 cm incision made in the belly button and 1-3 tubes of 0.5-1 cm diameter, which we call throcar, placed from different parts of the abdomen.

-Advanced age and the presence of serious systemic diseases:
The presence of systemic cardiovascular-pulmonary diseases that will complicate the surgery in older patients; It may be a problem for laparoscopy surgery as it requires an upside-down position and respiratory functions may be negatively affected.
